The lingering issues of a previous life

I believe in past lives. I believe that we choose our lessons to learn when we materialize in the physical world, and since God gives us free choice, sometimes we forget, or choose not to, learn some of those lessons. So what happens to those lessons?

Change your mind to change your situation

They reappear in the next life until we get it through our thick skulls that there’s something to learn here! I could hang here all night with examples: the girl that continuously chooses the same kind of partner that she knows is not good for her (aka the loser); Taking the same type of non-fulfilling job we’ve had before thinking that its duties, although exactly the same as the last job we had, will somehow be more fulfilling in the new surroundings; eating the same bad food that made us fat in the first place.

I don’t think it’s God that rains these lessons down on us, so no need to fear him–there’s enough in ourselves to fear, for heaven’s sake. If we simply opened our awareness, and paid attention to what’s happening to us over and over, and what actions we take in response, maybe we can actually create a different outcome with modified behavior.

To quote Albert Einstein: We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.

So if you have recurring issues, then think back–way back–and decide if you want to experience the pain and anguish they cause you repeatedly. If yes, well, heck, rock on! But if you are ready for new lessons, then reconsider your previous responses when these issues resurface, and try something different. That’s how we grow.

First of all thats a nice one… “Recycle My Soul”

Hope we actually had an easy machine to do that. Collect the plastic bags and take them to a recycling plant. Put them all in at once and voila! you now have small pallets and the cycle of life for them starts again.

The tiny pallets join new ones and create a new bag. The bags are sent out to new destinations/or old and sooner or later, they will be back once their “expiry date” has reached.

In our case, it really isn’t that easy and the time to recycle is huge. Especially when you take into account Karma and way of life. People make themselves believe that they can re-cycle very quick. Create chaos, undertake sins, hurt many, and then after all the fun, seek god and you are forgiven!! I just hope the system was that easy.

You are solely responsible for your environment (Law of Nature) and God can show you the direction to take but he will definetely not walk for you. The walking shall be done by you and only by you.

Human beings just dont seem to understand what the main purpose of being here is.

The man behaves like a survivor and undertakes all these materialistic lifestyle and just gets entangled in it. The money, fast life etc is real fun on the physical plane but once you get into the Spirit world, you feel empty. You feel that you have nothing inside you because you created nothing extra in that physical life to support the growth of the Soul.

Then we come across people who tell you… ok, so if reincarnation exists then how come I don’t remember any of my previous lives. They say this is nonsense and reincarnation doesnt exist.

I ask them how many things do you accurately remember for your current life; When was the first time you got hurt? What did you do on a daily basis when you were 10yrs old.

The answer lies in the difference of the Soul and Body. The body is the vehicle (The Soul is the driver) and thats why we just can’t remember anything.

Reincarnation gives everyone an equal chance. If you messed up this time around, No problem…. realise that mistake and make up for it for one day you will break free from the cycle.

But then everything in life is a cycle so let me leave that discussion for later!!!!

It’s a subtle difference but I wonder if we could looked at the experiences of life as just experiences rather than lessons. Not a good experience or a bad experience but just an experience. It’s our belief about the experience that labels it good or bad. If we label it bad then we try to place a meaning on it and try to convince ourselves that it must be a lesson. I wonder if at some level of our being we desire to have a particular experience, we then create the belief in order to create the experience, embrace and experience our creation and then start the cycle again of creation. I wonder if our struggles and thouthts that this must be a lesson come from our resistance to experience our creations. I wonder if until we are willing to fully experience our creations that we will keep recreating the same experiences over and over again until we are willing to embrace our creation and experience it. It’s not a lesson, but just an uncompleted experience.

    Steve,

Well that may rock many peoples’ boats, the thought that life is just about experience without the benefit of improving oneself through the learning of lessons. After all, what is experience if we don’t learn anything?
